IPIX, a division of Minds-Eye-View, Inc., has struck a deal with Grandeye Ltd. whereby Grandeye will be taking improved versions of the IPIX video security lines forward under the Grandeye/IPIX co-brand. When these products become available, IPIX will add them to its product line.
In the meantime, IPIX will continue to sell its existing line of IPIX immersive video products, which provide the highest degree of situational awareness. IPIX will be discounting these products, and we can say with confidence that this is a particularly opportune time to move up to 360-degree surveillance coverage.
To ensure a smooth transition to the forthcoming Grandeye/IPIX co-branded products, we are pleased to announce that Rob Baldwin, former head of IPIX software, has rejoined IPIX. Rob continues to oversee the overall IPIX Imaging Toolkit (IPIX ITK) software development and video compression technology. However, within the video security market, the IPIX ITK will be controlled by Grandeye (please see press release in left-hand column entitled “IPIX licenses technology to Grandeye, Ltd.”) and IPIX will assist in adapting the technology for the forthcoming Grandeye/IPIX video security products. Rob is also leading the charge at IPIX to roll out our new immersive video Web products – but more on that later this summer.
Please look here for more announcements next week regarding important exclusive rights IPIX has obtained in both the IPIX video and immersive still photography businesses.
