Class Prerequisites

  • Basic Windows skills/concepts including file management, scrolling, and exploring.
  • Ability to use a mouse, including clicking and right-clicking.
  • Ability to navigate a Full 360° image.
  • Basic Internet concepts are necessary for IPIX and the Web including FTP, HTTP, and HTML.

If you choose to bring your own laptop computer, it must meet the following minimum requirements:

  • Microsoft Windows 95/98, Windows 2000 or Windows XP.
  • Quad-speed or faster CD-ROM drive.
  • 100MB of free hard disk space.
  • Pentium III.
  • 128MB RAM.
  • Display capable of 1024 x 768 with 24 bit color.
  • Working PCMCIA adapter and port, USB Card adapter and port, or cable and port for downloading images from a camera to your computer.
  • If you did not purchace the "enhancer pack" version of Interactive Studio, you should download the demo version from IPIX.com and install it on your laptop prior to arriving for class since the training and the in-class hands-on projects are based on the full function version of Interactive Studio (i.e., the enhanser version).

Best viewed in IE 6, Mozilla 1.7x, Netscape 7.x and above. Macromedia Flash, Sun Java, and Adobe Acrobat Reader plug-ins are required for some content.
