Camera Design Researcher

Summary:

Be a part of IPIX's ground-breaking research in the area of camera design


Responsibilities:

  • Work on transitioning research designs to the commercial marketplace
  • Research and implement innovative camera designs, integrating optical components, DSP software, and board design
  • Contribute to all phases of the product development life-cycle including planning, design, research, development, and deployment

Qualifications:

  • Ability to solve complex problems involving a blend of hardware, optical design, and software
  • Two years experience with camera design, including knowledge of overall system architecture, component mounting techniques, power requirements, and familiarity with component vendors
  • Experience designing hardware, including PCB design and DSP/FPGA programming
  • Familiarity with optical physics and lens design, including producibility requirements. Knowledge of design tools is a plus
  • Familiarity with CCD and CMOS chip capabilities and vendors
  • Understanding of how camera design affects software algorithms in terms of image quality, focal length, shuttering, etc.
  • Applicants must have at least a Master's in Electrical Engineering / Computer Science / Optics / Computer Engineering or related discipline

Reporting Relationships:

Reports directly to the Chief Technology Officer
