Channel Sales Representative

Summary:

IPIX Corporation, the premium provider of immersive imaging products for government and commercial applications, is in search of a Channel Sales Representative.


Responsible for selling company products and services through resellers/channels as assigned. Develops new prospects and interacts with existing customers to increase sales of the organization's products and/or services. Represents the company in all activities associated with reseller/channel support. Requires a minimum of an associate's degree or its equivalent with 2-4 years of experience in the field or in a related area. Has knowledge of commonly-used concepts, practices, and procedures. Relies on instructions and pre-established guidelines to perform the functions of the job. A certain degree of creativity and latitude is required. Typically reports to a supervisor or manager.


Responsibilities:

  • This person will be responsible for selling company products and services through resellers/channels
  • He/she will support specific promotions such as workshops, seminars, pipeline development and webinars which include alliance partners
  • Handle partner-related inbound (phone, email and web) inquiries and partner sales cycle from qualification to enrollment in partner program, to managing pull-through end-customer business
  • Assist in further developing formal partner program and partner offerings
  • Work with marketing on collateral for partners to help partners sell IPIX and IPIX bundled solutions
  • Train partners on selling/positioning IPIX products including conducting web based interactive product demos via PC and phone
  • Strong prospecting, closing and account management skills, needed to grow the number of Reseller/Channel partners, and to assist partners in targeting end user prospects
  • Train Reseller/Channel partners' sales force to ensure they can successfully uncover business needs, perform product demos, articulate benefits and value, and close deals (telephone / web training where feasible)
  • Ability to quickly learn and demonstrate a comprehensive understanding of new technical products
  • Ability to easily understand technology and communicate it to prospects and partners, as the product expert
  • Manage and motivate Reseller/Channel partners to ensure
  • 1) Revenue Growth
  • 2) Partner Satisfaction
  • 3) End user/Customer Satisfaction
  • Work as a member of the Channel team to provide insights and suggestions about organizational strategies based on personal experience, industry best practices, and creative thinking
  • Ability to use all related hardware and software including database, spreadsheet, presentation, and word processing applications
  • Participate in requested trade shows, events, training and outings
  • This position may require up to 50% travel
  • The position's measurement of success is the attainment of assigned sales quotas, sales growth, teaming, and customer satisfaction

Qualifications:

  • Must have a minimum of 2-4 years experience working in a sales environment
  • Be able to perform product demonstrations
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills are essential
  • Must have solid selling and negotiation skills and demonstrated success and experience in working with partners at the field engagement level
  • Excellent presentation skills (including value propositions) coupled with demonstrated excellent written and verbal communication skills and relationship and negotiation skills
  • Must be able to sell to upper management levels CIO, CFO, CEO, IS/IT management
  • Must have knowledge of PC's and Microsoft Office Suite
  • Must excel in managing multiple tasks and accounts simultaneously
  • Must have concise documentation skills
  • Quick learner and self-starter with an entrepreneurial work ethic
  • Results-oriented team player with a committed effort to meet individual goals
  • Ability to "wear many hats" within fast-growing start up company
  • Must have knowledge of networking
