Computer Vision Scientist

Summary:

Be a part of IPIX's ground-breaking research in the area of computer vision.


Responsibilities:

  • Independently performs technical research on governmental grants
  • Writes proposals for future governmental grants (in tandem with others)
  • Represents the company to agency funding sources during program reviews and during the course of research
  • Project management - managing daily duties of a focused research effort
  • Represents the company at trade shows
  • Knows general product line well enough to provide customer assistance

Qualifications:

  • Solid understanding of computer vision
  • Basic understanding of camera design and lens design
  • Proficient programmer in C++ and matlab
  • Mathematical comprehension
  • Language skills to write proposals
  • Self starter - does not need direction to do research
  • PhD in computer vision, computer science, applied mathematics, electrical engineering, or related field preferred
  • Demonstrated success in publishing and patenting preferred
  • Ability to organize and direct research projects is a plus

Reports directly to the Chief Technology Officer
