Navigating 360° IPIX® images is easy.
There are two types of 360° images:
Click on either choice to see a quick navigation guide. There is also a section at the end that talks about Keyboard navigation that applies to both types of images.
Hint: The cursor drives the image slowly if held near the center of the picture. The closer the cursor gets to the edge of the picture, the faster the image moves.
Windows Users
The first thing a Windows user will notice when inside a Java 360° image is that the cursor becomes a four-arrow icon. To move inside the image, HOLD DOWN your left mouse button and drag the cursor in the direction you wish to move. The two-arrow icon appears as you move around the image to indicate the direction of movement.
Mac Users
The first thing a Mac user will notice when inside a Java Full 360° image is that the cursor becomes a hand icon. To move inside the image, HOLD DOWN your left mouse button and drag the cursor in the direction you wish to move. The arrow icon appears as you move around the image to indicate the direction of movement.

The last two versions of the Java Applet have the ability to display an embeded toolbar. If these appear in an immersive image, you may use the magnifying glass with the plus symbol to zoom in closer, and the magnifying glass with the minus symbol to zoom out.
You can also always zoom with plus key and minus key.
Windows Users
The first thing you'll notice when you're inside a 360° image is that your cursor becomes a hand icon. To move inside the image, HOLD DOWN your left mouse button and point the hand icon in the direction you wish to move.
The magnifying glass with the plus symbol appears when the cursor is slightly above the center of the image. When you see this icon, HOLD DOWN your mouse button to zoom closer into the image.
The magnifying glass with the minus symbol appears when the cursor is slightly below the center of the image. When you see this icon, HOLD DOWN your mouse button to zoom further out of the image.
Mac Users

All Users
Many 360° images are multimedia enhanced with music, narration, automations, and URLs. Each type of media is signified by its own special icon.
Door icons appear when a link to another image is available. Double click doors and you're on your way.
Speaker icons appear when an audio link is available. Double click speakers to hear narration or music.
Television icons appear when linking to an automation is possible. Double click televisions for automatic action and independent movement.
Computer-to-computer icons appear when links to URLs exist. Double click computer-to-computers to visit another Web site or Web page.
Keyboard Navigation
If a mouse isn't hooked up to your machine or you just prefer keyboard navigation, it's still easy to navigate 360° images.
A cross hair icon will appear in the center of the image when using the arrow keys to move left, right, up, or down in images. To move quickly, HOLD DOWN the arrow key which points in the direction you wish to move.
HINT: To activate a link, such as a door or speaker, position the cross hair icon over the desired link, then press ENTER.
To zoom closer into images, press the plus key. To zoom further out of images, press the minus key.
